November.

Autumn is surely here. Last night it was below freezing and I busted out some Christmas tunes. Today there is a Pumpkin Pie in the oven and the sun is shining through the chilly crisp air. Enjoy this Updike poem... I couldn't say it better myself.

Maple grieves
The ghosts of her
Departed leaves.

The ground is hard,
As hard as stone.
The year is old,
The birds are flown.

And yet the world,
In its distress,
Displays a certain
Loveliness---
